Falconry “The Sport of Kings” – operated by our Resident Falconer – Jason Deacy provides a unique deep dive into strategy, planning and positive re-enforcement through operant conditioning.

The Gary Madden Golf Academy, located on the estates provides expert golf insight from a PGA Professional. Discipline, strategy, technique and focus all key attributes of any successful organisation are applied here at the Gary Madden Golf Academy.

Glenlo Abbey Golf Course & 21 Bay Driving Range

A 9 hole parkland golf course initially designed by the late Christy O’Connor Jnr with rolling hills, offers golfers a challenging game. Set overlooking Lough Corrib, enjoy panoramic views whilst you play.

Depending on your golfing level or if you are a complete beginner, we will assist you in planning a fun and challenging day out.

Choose from a scramble, competitions on the golf course or the longest drive on the driving range.

Falconry

A captivating and thrilling experience – falconry the sport of kings – is available to our guests of Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate.

Come up close and personal with many birds of prey within the sheltered Walled Garden.

Guided and instructed by experienced Falconers, this is a once in a lifetime life time opportunity to interact with some of nature’s top predators.

Cruise on the Corrib Princess

Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a cruise on Lough Corrib, aboard the Corrib Princess.
For groups of 6 or more, we can arrange departure from our private jetty, here at Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate.

Take in the scenic views over Lough Corrib, the second largest lake in Ireland and is reputed to have 365 Islands. It is a vast lake of 44,000 acres and stretches some thirty-five miles in length from Maam in Connemara to Galway city.

Seats 157 passengers in comfort on two luxurious decks. Below deck is a fully heated, all weather lounge with large panoramic windows. The seated top deck has uninterrupted views of the spectacular scenery of beautiful Lough Corrib.

The boat can be chartered in the evenings as a unique private venue and is very popular with sports and social groups.
