Dublin International Airport
The fastest route from Dublin airport by car is via the M6. It will take you roughly 2 hr 25 minutes and the total distance is 217 km. On this route there are tolls, the tolls will cost drivers €4.80 each way. For directions click here.
The most convenient method of public transport from Dublin Airport to the hotel involves taking the Aircoach/Citylink or GoBus from outside the Arrivals Hall to Galway Bus Station (€14 single adult and €28 return). Once guests depart the bus at the Galway Bus Station, they can then hail a taxi for the remainder of the journey to Glenlo Abbey at a cost of approx. €15.
Shannon Airport
Fastest route from Shannon Airport is via M18. It will take you approximately 1 hr 13 min and the total distance is 97.2 km, click here for the directions. Alternatively you can get the Expressway 51 bus from the airport (€10 one-way per adult) to Galway city centre and hail a taxi for the remainder of the journey.
Galway City Centre
It will take you 11 minutes to drive from Galway city centre to Glenlo Abbey. Or you can get the 419 bus from Francis Street (stop 523021). The will be 3 stops in total and it will take you approximately 8 minutes. When you get off at Bushy Park, it’s a 10 minute straight walk to Glenlo Abbey. Glenlo Abbey will be on your right.
